Quantitec GmbH receives investments from LEA Partners, TEV and Vito Ventures<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Quantitec<\/strong><\/a>, developer of a real-time IoT sensor platform for centimetre-accurate end-to-end location of goods and internal means of transport, receives fresh capital for expansion. The growth financing is being led by LEA Partners and Vito Ventures with renewed participation by TEV (Tengelmann Ventures) and a number of business angels. With this million-dollar financing, Quantitec intends to extend the market lead of its real-time end-to-end localisation system (RTLS) in the production and logistics sector by increasing its staff and developing its technology.

Quantitec, based in Frankfurt am Main, develops leading hardware and software products for real-time object location in production and logistics. The interaction of its own sensor systems and the powerful INTRANAV industrial IoT platform provides companies with an integrated system for locating objects in production and logistics environments inside and outside in real time with centimetre precision. Through the fusion of different sensor data and the integration of universal data sources such as UWB, 5G, Beacons, GPS or existing ERP, EMS and WMS systems, the IntraNav platform offers solutions for a variety of problems.

The RTLS platform from Quantitec creates the data basis for the intelligent industry and increases process transparency in production. With real-time data, companies can make their processes more efficient and flexible.

For example, end-to-end data collection in interlinked logistics processes enables companies to track goods throughout the entire supply chain, thus identifying inefficiencies and eliminating them automatically. In addition to a variety of use cases, even mixed fleets of driverless transport systems and classic forklifts can now, for example, drive to dynamic destinations and automatically recognize when people or other so-called “assets in motion” are in the vicinity and react accordingly. In addition, Quantitec is able to map individual use cases via the modular expansion of its system and develop them with the customer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


To finance growth, Quantitec has now acquired strong partners in LEA Partners and Vito Ventures in addition to existing investor Tengelmann Ventures (TEV). Together, they will now build up the market leader position and scale internationally in line with their clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A benchmark from Microsoft Research has also shown this. With the associated software and the intelligent middleware for autonomous vehicles, customers receive a holistic end-to-end solution”. Vito Ventures has a strong network in the industrial middle class. Several partners are already planning to use the Quantitec solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quantitec is planning the next evolutionary stage of its IntraNav technology for the middle of this year. The company is expanding its technology portfolio specifically for autonomous vehicles and the automation of the networked factory. The product update brings new comprehensive IoT analytics functions for driverless transport systems (AGVs) and already implements future technologies such as 5G.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


This year, Quantitec took first place for the second time among the “Top 10 Innovators of VW Logistic Innovation Scouting”, a worldwide innovation competition in which Volkswagen Group Logistics, together with the Institute for Production Management (IPM), annually selects the most innovative suppliers in automobile logistics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
